Sea of Orange (6/15)

E2-Netherlands scored twice in the second half to secure a spot in the Round of 16 with a 3-1 win over E4-Cameroon in front of a large orange-clad partisan crowd.  Valenciennes is less than 200 miles from Amersterdam with multiple ways to travel (being it's Europe).  E1-Canada also scored twice in the second half to advanced to the Knockout Stage with a 2-0 win over E3-New Zealand.  NZL became the first team to not record a shot on goal and the CAN GK has only faced 1 shot on goal in the two matches (making the save).  That should change as CAN and NED battle it out for first.

Canada joins the other 5 UEFA teams in the Round of 16.  Tomorrow, the F1-United States and F4-Sweden are big favorites to win and would also advance.  If both win, then D4-Japan would also advance as they have 4 points and the potential Groups E and F third place teams can't get more than 3 points.  That would be 9 teams advancing before the 3rd matches are even played!

40 got both matches correct (43 picked NED and 41 picked CAN) and the top 2 didn't change with Fotografo il Migliore and Pazzo Americano tied for first with 20 pts now.  Four went 1-1 including Soccerhorn who now is 2 points behind the next best entry at 13 pts in last.  As for the last two group stage matches of this cycle tomorrow, all 44 picked USA and SWE so the standings won't change.  Barring a crazy upset, it'll be interesting to see how both teams approach the goal differential before their last match against each other.
