Day 8 (6/18) 30+ entries, Mexico is in
ANDREW JACKSON HALL, NASHVILLE, TN - Mexico took advantage of a miscue to become the first team to qualify for the Round of 32, winning Group A. South Africa converted a late PK to tie Czechia 1-1. Switzerland (4-1 over B&H) and host Canada (6-0 over Qatar, its first WC win) routed to each virtually clinch a knockout round spot (4 points each).
Haven't vetted the entries yet but we have over 30. Each group match is just worth one point so picking the right knockout round teams will be key.
Somehow got one Hamilton musical ticket and it was just 11 rows from the stage. Wore my old South Africa jersey.

Day 6 (6/16) Stars Shine
PASADENA CITY HALL - Now that my daughter is into soccer, watched the first half of Austria-Jordan before she took a shower in what turned out to be a 3-1 win for AUT. Messi escaped a red card to net a hat trick over Algeria. Mbappe scored twice in France's 3-1 win and Haaland scored 2 easy goals in Norways's 4-1 win over Iraq.
Wore my replica 1994 Norway jersey while browsing Colorado Boulevard.
About a half dozen entries in this rushed pool. Deadline is still 9 am Thursday. Good luck!

Day 4 (6/14) - Pool Almost... There
CALGARY, AB - I think everything has been edited but ran into issues with cgi-bin which hopefully will be fixed today (Monday). When that is fixed, then some testing to make sure I entered the teams (48!) correctly. Thanks for your patience.
Great to see Japan rally twice to tie Netherlands and Sweden put on a show 5-1 over Tunisia from my inlaws for the evening match. Ivory Coast also scored late to steal a 1-0 win over Ecuador. South America having a tough time, 0-2-1 thus far. Tiny nation Curacao scored but Germany scored the next 6 (7-1). 19 goals today.
I wore my 100th anniversary Ecuador shirt and finally got to visit the famed-shape Saddledome arena in Calgary.
